Congratulations to Dr. Dani Ben-Zvi on being awarded the Austrialian Discovery Project!

Congratulations to Dr. Dani Ben-Zvi on being awarded the Austrialian Discovery Project! Dr. Dani Ben-Zvi, head of the educational technologies program at the University of Haifa, as well as the Dept. of Mathematics in the Dept. of Learning, Teaching and Training was awarded the Australian Government's Discovery Project Award.  He is being funded for his research, between the years 2012-2014, on the top: "For the Sake of the Argument: Developing Students' Inferential Arguments in Statistics."

The award was given together with this colleagues Dr. Katie Makar (Australia) and Dr. Arthur Bakker (Netherlands) by the Academy of Research of the Australian Government (ARC - Australian Research Council).

The international project is intended to design, develop, and explore the learning processes of student in school statistics and argumentation to perform inferences.
